Bespoke Fireplaces

Our expertise in the visual and structural design of stone fireplaces enables us to create spectacular one-off pieces for exclusive homes. Whether the project is conceived from scratch or a period reproduction, we work closely with clients, architects and interior design professionals to deliver the very best in unique English limestone fireplaces.

Our truly bespoke service means that designs can be further embellished and made more personalised with additional elements such as relief or incised carvings. Architectural details from elsewhere in a property, such as skirting or cornice moulding profiles, can be also incorporated within the fireplace design.

Interiors designed around the fireplace

These two exclusive fireplaces were designed and crafted in Ham and Oathill limestones.

The latter features oak-leaf carving detail in the spandrels of the Tudor arch.

Scale with simplicity

We designed, crafted and installed this massive fire surround for a double-height atrium hall. The stonework wraps all of the way around the double-sided, floor to ceiling chimney breast.

The property was a period restoration project in the north-west of England. The client was looking for simple, straight lines and dramatic visual impact when entering the property.

Traditional French elegance

A large mass of stone supported on very slender jambs is the hallmark of this type of French period piece.

We kept the lines simple and further developed the brief by adding the ‘lion’s feet’ scrolls.

Each of these two massive Bath Stone fireplaces weighed in at 2.7 tonnes.
